Coda connector

1 min read

Connect a Coda doc to a client mind to search its changed pages in Armbrain.

Before you connect

You need:

  • A client mind in Armbrain.
  • A Coda API token. In Coda, open Account settings → API settings, then generate and copy a token.
  • The doc ID. Open the Coda doc and copy the short ID immediately after _d in its URL.

Treat the token like a password. Enter it only in Armbrain HQ.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Connectors in Armbrain HQ.
  2. Choose Coda.
  3. Select the client mind that should receive the doc.
  4. Paste the Coda API token.
  5. Paste the Coda doc ID.
  6. Select Continue.

Armbrain verifies doc access before encrypting and saving the token.

What it imports

  • Pages changed since the last successful sync.
  • Page canvas text and readable table content.
  • Page titles as source attribution.

The first sync imports every page with a valid Coda update timestamp. Later syncs import only pages changed after the last successful poll. Editing a page creates a new version without duplicating an unchanged version.

Sync behavior

  • Polling runs every 15 minutes.
  • Coda exports pages in the background. If an export is pending, Armbrain retries instead of pausing.
  • Authentication failures pause the connector so you can replace the token. Temporary Coda errors and rate limits retry automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • API token rejected: Generate a new token in Coda account settings and confirm the token owner can open the doc.
  • Document not found: Copy only the doc ID after _d in the Coda URL. Confirm the token owner still has access.
  • A recent edit is missing: Wait for the next 15-minute poll and confirm Coda shows a newer page update time.
  • A table looks simplified: Armbrain stores tables as readable text for search; it does not preserve Coda's interactive controls.
